Lights, camera, action! Well perhaps not the middle part, due to a recent theft, but Figtree certainly has some lighting and even more action going on.
As lights faded through purple and pink on Sunday night, Sam (MTC team member) gave his testimony of how a community who loved like Jesus, plus meeting Jesus through reading the Bible led him to give his life to Christ.
Simon (MTC team member, aka my husband) spoke from Acts 9 about how Paul had been transformed for a purpose by a vision* of Jesus. Not just because he literally saw a vision of Jesus on the road from Damascus, but because his vision was filled by him as he went to proclaim Jesus to the nations.
On Monday morning, our team had the privilege of hearing the Figtree team explain to us their vision to be a Community of Grace. We pray that this strategic thinking will prove a blessing to the saints here at Figtree – and that many will come to know the Lord Jesus personally through their work under God.

*More than just a fig-ment of the imagination… (just one of a few little puns that just had to be used here – shout out to my Bible Study at Drews! Hi guys!)
