The end of today marks the midway point for our mission. After a few busy days at St David’s Forestville we had the opportunity to spend some time together as a team and rest up ahead of a busy end to the week.
Our team enjoyed a brunch at the beach in Dee Why, and the afternoon was spent relaxing and visiting friends and family or spending more time with billets.
It was a great reminder that rest can be used to glorify God, giving us the energy to love others well. Please pray that after our rest day we would have the passion and zeal to continue connecting to locals with the good news of Jesus and encouraging the saints here in Forestville.
Some other prayer points include:
- Pray for our primary school scripture classes happening tomorrow morning, that many school students would be given the opportunity to hear about Jesus’ claims and make their own informed decisions about him.
- Pray for more of our nursing home visits happening tomorrow and throughout the week, that we’d strengthen relationships already formed and seek to encourage residents in their faith and challenge others who don’t yet know Jesus.
- Pray that lots of non-Christians would come to our sceptics night tomorrow night at the local RSL and that David Höhne would speak persuasively and winsomely.
