Our final day on mission together was a mix of emotions. Sadness, delight, surprise and exhaustion. It was sad for the team to say goodbye to many of those we have come to know over the past week. Many of whom have become like family. It was a sad time to see our time on mission at Sadleir come to an end. But we were delighted. God will continue to work in his mission through the people at Sadleir. One of the delights that we were able to share in was the news that one person who had been coming to church recently expressed a desire to be baptised. It was news that brought great joy, the men’s Bible study and ‘coffee and dessert night’ where the Gospel was clearly and powerfully proclaimed were instrumental in his decision. We thank God for his work in that man’s life. Sunday is an exhausting day at St Mark’s Sadleir, with 4 services including the 8am, 10am, 4pm and 6:30pm. Team members Dan, Josh and Aaron preached throughout the services, with Angus, Michael and Matt sharing their testimony. Team members Louise and Josh also ran the youth sermon club. Amani, Matt and Eva ran the kids ‘Galaxy’ program. The team had a wonderful time on mission. We have no doubt God will continue to work through his saints at Sadleir.
