Today at Stanmore Public School we remembered the true meaning of Easter at the SRE Easter assembly.
The cross on the hot cross bun reminds us that Jesus died for us on a cross.
A game of tug of war where the players switch teams reminds us that Jesus swapped to the losing team so we could be on the winning team.
The empty chocolate Easter egg reminds us that Jesus didn’t stay dead in the tomb, but was raised to life again.
Praise God for SRE in NSW schools and for the faithful team of SRE teachers from All Saints Petersham.
