On Friday night, Andrew had a long conversation with a man called Rob who earlier in the week had been door knocked by two of the Hoxton Park Mission Team, and had decided to bring his son along to the Friday afternoon kids club. He brought his son along because he had been asking questions about Jesus, and he didn’t know how to answer them in English.
Rob is an Assyrian Orthodox man who identified himself as Christian, but through the conversation, it was clear that he didn’t fully understand grace. Having grown up in Iraq, he understands written Arabic best, so Andrew took him through two ways to live using an Arabic bible that the church was handing out. He believes that Jesus died for him, but he hadn’t understood grace properly before. He’s keen to keep coming back and talking about the Bible while his son goes to kids club.
Praise God for the gospel conversations that have happened with the people of Hoxton Park.
Please pray for Rob and his son and for the church at Hoxton Park as they continue to tell the people in the area the great news of the gospel.
