James Galea preached a wonderful sermon at 5pm Pentecost service at St Peter’s Nightcliff on the healing of the paralytic with 120 peoples who came from a diversity of at least 15 different cultural groups, tribes, nationality from all over the world and various Indigenous language groups.
But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” Then the man got up and went home. (Matthew 9:6-7)
The mixed congregation from every nation, tribe, and language came together and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And then we had a meal together after the service.
Laura and Kat also served faithfully in Kidspot with puppet shows, teaching children about sin and Jesus.
We met some Indigenous brothers and sisters from Groote Eylandt.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters: William, Shane, Marley and Monica as they continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ, and build up good fellowship with other Indigenous tribes and the rest of congregation. There are over four different Indigenous language groups and the language barrier has prevented good communications between the tribes. Please pray for unity and that the Spirit of Pentecost would be among them all. Please also pray for good partnership of Moore College students with the saints at St Peters throughout the week, sharing the gospel in fellowship and love of Christ. Joyfully bringing people to Jesus together with our brothers and sisters in Darwin.
