Having acquired the necessary immigration paperwork and successfully navigated passport control at the gateway to Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, a small number of intrepid scouts from Team Jannali made their way to the church on Saturday for their first taste of Mission2016. It was straight to work for all students, who across were involved in teaching the Bible with preschool (Hannah), infants (Jacquie and Letitia) and primary (Katherine) kids, as well as in a youth Bible Study (Brie), giving a testimony (Bek) and preaching in church (Paul).
We were so warmly welcomed at Jannali by staff and church members, and ended the night feeling enthusiastic about the week ahead as we either made the trek back to Newtown, or arrived to settle in at our billets’ homes for the week.
Please pray that we’ll make the best use of our time this week at Jannali, as we seek to engage many people in the church and the community in conversations that will glorify God and point people to Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.
