Today’s numbers: Psalm 23, 4 soups and 5 dangerous stories.
9-11am
A team went to visit St David’s Hostel Retirement Village and got to spend some time with the residents. They got to share the gospel, pray and share stories. Savitri was particularly encouraged by the faith of one of the residents as they read Psalm 23 together. Please pray for those in the village and thank God for the opportunity we have to share the gospel and benefit from mutual encouragement in Christ!
While there was a team at the retirement village Tash and Ellen went to a dialogue meeting – a group set up by some church women who invited their friends to hear a gospel presentation and ask questions. This is Tash and Ellen:
I caught up with them afterwards and they shared some prayer points:
- Pray for Y who was asking great, inquisitive questions
- Pray for J who’s not yet a Christian but investigating Christianity
- Thank God for the encouragement of the faithful women who wanted to use the opportunity of MTC mission to let their friends know about Jesus.
12noon
We met around God’s word, and debriefed about yesterday and prayed together. We thanked God for the gift of the gospel which pushes back the darkness and defeats the god of this world.
For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants[c] for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. – 2 Corinthans 4:5-6

The Seniors team held an event sharing 5 “dangerous stories”. Our team shared how they became Christians and why they decided to go to MTC!
Here’s a collection of photos from these events! A big thanks to the minister at St David’s Gavin for being MVP when it comes to taking snaps of the seniors 🙂
Another small job we’ve been doing in the afternoons is handing out leaflets around the local schools and shops to advertise for a carnival coming up on Saturday at St David’s
Thank God that people were so receptive and pray that many people would come to the carnival on Saturday!
And our bonus pic for the day: Will becomes a puppet!
