Keiraville International Church (or KIC for short) had their sixth anniversary celebration on Sunday night! 7 of us went along to the service and we were encouraged to hear about the way that God has grown their church.
It started as a combined initiative from Figtree Anglican Church and St. Johns Anglican Church to reach international students who were studying at the next-door University of Wollongong. We heard a testimony from a Chinese student who came to Christ in March this year, and were encouraged to hear how he had moved from seeking worldly fulfilment, and security to finding his security in Christ. He is one of almost 100 international students who have come to know Jesus at this church in the last six years!
A number of people at the church have young children and we had the joy of hearing a kids song from them, as well as seeing the flags of their home countries that they had made by hand. There were flags from Australia, China, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Russia and even Nepal! It was a great encouragement to see the fantastic fellowship and unity that this congregation had in Christ.
