Today was ‘Final Friday’ at Moore. Held to mark the end of the academic year, there was a community chapel followed by lunch for all, where many families from the College were present along with all faculty, staff and students. The end of year sermon was given by our Principal, Dr Mark Thompson, on 2 Timothy 4.
Before the sermon, two students, Robert Brown and Kate Hamer, shared memories and reflections on behalf of the fourth-years. Robert remarked, “People often ask us, what have we learnt at Moore? …We have learnt that, in the words of John Robinson, ‘…the Lord has more truth yet to break forth out of His Holy Word.’”
In his sermon, Mark encouraged the students to “hear again Paul’s charge to Timothy – preach the word!” You can listen to Mark’s sermon at this morning’s end of year Chapel which will be available on our resources page.
The College is thankful to God for another year and His blessings on the faculty, staff and our wonderful student body and their families and friends. Please pray for the College as it continues to equip men and women for a lifetime of mission and ministry and for our graduating students as they go out and serve God in the harvest field.
For those interested in joining us to study in 2019, applications are open and we look forward to welcoming a new cohort in the coming year.
