Exactly what you’d hope would happen.
One morning, three primary school Scripture assemblies, one dopey puppet Gary (aka MTC team member Sam), and one great message of the cross to share. The crowd at the final show was fairly restless…
But were the kids listening?
It was hard to say. Until EIGHTEEN children from the final school showed up to KZONE that night – a night of fun and community for primary school aged children. EIGHTEEN children who had not attended before, out of a group of 34.
The team were on again, this time Michael (from MTC) gave a talk, while constantly being heckled from the front row…
So were they listening?
It was hard to say. Until our team meeting the next day…
“Oh yes, I was talking to some kids about God and Jesus”, reported Geoff (Figtree staff member);
“They were the hecklers? Oh yeah, they were listening!”
Praise God!
Please Pray
– for our team as we have a day of rest today (Thursday)
– for the primary kids who heard about Jesus on Tuesday – that they would come back and hear more and give their lives to Him.
– that Figtree would continue to love and reach out to members of the community who haven’t yet heard the good news of what Easter is really about!
