‘God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!’
This is the good news we believe, and it’s the message we’ve been sharing for the past eight days in Glen and Guyra. And we know it’s the same message that will continue to spread long after this mission team has returned to city life. Preach it!
There were bittersweet goodbyes all round today as we packed up and departed for home. Things we’ll miss about the country:
- open space
- scenery
- wide roads
- meat straight from the farm
- eccentric road signs about rabbit poo for sale
- the people!
We’re so thankful for the people in Glen and Guyra who have welcomed us into their towns, their homes, their lives this past week.
As we trek back towards the city, our prayer remains that our country brothers and sisters will have great endurance and patience; that in all things they will join us in joyfully give thanks to God, who has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Can we get an Amen!
