Moore College values learning and development in community. As a result we employ chaplains who have ministry experience to partner with faculty to pastorally care for our on-campus students. The chaplains are involved in many aspects of college life, from meeting one-to-one to spending time alongside students on college mission.
Isobel Lin
Isobel is married to Peter Lin, the bishop of the Georges River Region in Sydney and they have 3 adult daughters. Since they left Moore, a bit over 20 years ago, home and church have been in Sydney's south-west. Isobel is one of the founding members of EQUIP women, which has at its heart, faithful Bible teaching by women for women. She continues to serve EQUIP as an Exec.
Joan Young
Before joining the chaplaincy team at Moore College, Joan served in various church and college based ministries, equipping and resourcing others to grow in Christ-likeness and lead others in the same direction. She speaks at conferences and facilitates workshops where she shares the gospel.
Joseph and Nancy Fung
Both Joseph and Nancy are graduates of Moore. Joseph became a Baptist pastor, and more recently both have been lecturing at Moore and the Chinese Theological College Australia as adjunct lecturers in Christian education subjects. Both serve the Lord as a husband and wife team. Since 1980, they have pioneered one Chinese congregation and three churches.
Louise Cunningham
Louise has worked in youth, student and church ministry in a variety of ways for many years. She has pastored women in a variety of contexts ranging across training small group leaders, mentoring ministry wives and women in ministry leadership, through to identifying and assisting victims of abuse.
Michael Blake
Michael served as an Assistant Minister 7 years, and as Senior Minister at Narellan Anglican for 21 years. After a year of part time ministry, he trained in Pastoral Supervision at Moore. Michael now runs a Pastoral Supervision practice, meeting monthly with several ministers 1:1. He is also involved as a Coach in the Sydney Diocese New Rectors Program, and is currently Acting Rector at Mittagong Anglican Church.
Ruth Sheath
Ruth is married to David, who planted The Lakes Evangelical Church, on the Central Coast, 18 years ago. As it has grown Ruth has been involved in serving this church family in many ways, including training and mentoring ministry trainees and volunteers. She counts it a privilege to have such a long and deep involvement as part of the church and the wider community.
Sarah Balogh
Christian, wife, mother, friend, psychologist, music and flower appreciator. Sarah is returning to Moore College after her husband graduated in 2009 (when they left College to minister in Lismore). Sarah and her husband Akos have always enjoyed working as a team in ministry, both for AFES and more recently through Akos’ current position as CEO of TGCA (The Gospel Coalition Australia).
Tim Hu
Tim works part time as the minister of a Mandarin congregation and part time in Chinese Christian resources. Since graduating, he has kept up with the work of the college through his involvement with the PTC correspondence course, and he is presently the Partner in charge of the Chinese PTC through Centre for Global Missions.
Wendy Swanton
Wendy has previously worked in parish and school ministries and is now working for Two Ways Ministries, which is based at Moore College. Please pray for the work of TWM training students and young adults in evangelism through Bible exposition and Two Ways to Live; training Student Ministers and building a network of evangelistic leaders.
