Tuesday began with ‘Ross time’ at 8am where we dwelled on the idea that Jesus is the antidote to the poison to life on earth which is sin (Jesus’ heel will crush the serpents head)!
There were two main events on at Ulladulla-Milton today.
- SRE scripture at Milton PS. Dave, Aaron and Ada led the session which was on ‘Jesus is the One you should follow’. We looked at Jesus and his miracle of the plentiful fish during a boat trip with Peter. We investigated why Peter responded to Jesus with ‘get away from me! I am a sinner’. Peter recognised that Jesus was someone special and powerful – he was God! But we don’t have to be afraid of approaching God because Jesus can mend our broken relationship with God caused by sin. Jesus is worth following and we should trust in Jesus and follow him!
- Luncheon with PFJ (or Peter Jensen as us newbies know him as) – was well attended by a range of non-believers. Peter Jensen challenged us to seriously consider taking on Jesus’ promises of ‘the light of life…[for] whoever follows me’. We can have complete faith in God’s promises because we know about the trustworthiness of God who makes the promises. Let us approach Jesus for the certainty of gaining mercy, grace and forgiveness.
PRAISE & PRAY:
- Praise God for the positive engagement of children at SRE Milton PS and for the great turnout of non-believers at the PFJ luncheon
- Pray for God to work in the hearts of the children at Milton PS and for the follow-up gospel conversations to happen after the PFJ luncheon.
