Spotted: Todd, Jordan, Rhys and Dan jamming in preparation for the gospel café in Guyra this Saturday night. The locals are in for a quality repertoire of country tunes with a handful of originals thrown in as a treat from these gifted musicians! Do they take requests? This fly on the wall can confirm they are willing and able to whip out a mean Taylor Swift cover.
Across the room, Tom is deep in conversation with David (one of the local ministers), swapping ideas about rural and city ministry. Our team is benefiting heaps from this chance to soak up some country wisdom 🙂
Sam, Kat, Tim and Wendy are departing from headquarters to run scripture at a local-ish primary school. They look focused and ready: Black Mountain is their destination; Jesus is their message.
Back at headquarters, laptops are out – Brie and Fi have commandeered the couches and will allow you to sit with them on the condition that your name rhymes with theirs. They’re working on playgroup and kids club activities for the littlies at Glen Innes.
We’ve got men’s and women’s events, senior’s luncheons, Bible studies, Easter school assemblies, farm tours and more to look forward to this week, and we’re thankful that we can spend this day planning and praying. Please join us in praying for the people of Glen and Guyra to know and trust in Jesus’ love for them.
What else may God place in our path this week?
How does he plan to work through us in these communities?
Wait and see. You know I’ll keep you posted!
