Kurrajong Team back again!

Another brilliant day in Kurrajong yesterday. We started off with a devotional from 2nd year Paul White on the wonderful verse John 3:30. This led to a team attitude or theme for the day about always seeking humbleness and an urge to serve so that Jesus would increase amongst us.

Immediately after that our team was  separated into ladies and gentlemen for the morning ahead.
The ladies had a special calling to be a part of the Mini Mountain Groovers group, a group for mothers and young children who come to dance,chat, and meet one another. Approximately half of the group is new or non christian every week, and yesterday was no exception.

In the meantime the boys divided themselves into handy-men and  into those with skills in the more cognitive arena (no judgments, but there were an awful lot of cardigans in the brains trust half.)

The handy-men then went round to a parishioner’s house who had requested some assistance in conquering the jungle that was her yard and gardens. And the other men set out for a morning of door knocking and walk up evangelism.

After mastering the various assignments we reconvened  for lunch, prayer, and a re-tasking of some more visitation. The day finished with stories of who we had met door knocking during the day and several stories of encouragement.

Give thanks to God for the many opportunities that we have already had, and for the ones before us. In particular pray for those we have met door knocking, that God would continue speaking them and urging them towards him.

Also pray for Wednesday, we have some more S.R.E. assemblies, a service at the local retirement village, an afternoon tea with 3rd year Michael Hanbury, and a men’s dinner (with 70 attendees supposedly coming!!) about how Jesus brings true mate-ship.
