Kurrajong Mission team signing in!
Sunday started off with a bang as 3rd year Craig Mills brought the word to the 8 am service which meets in a small traditional chapel next to the cemetery on the church grounds (pretty cool).
The day continued with the 10 am family service with such events as: kids church, a year 6-8 youth bible study, a skit from the team about door knocking, a testimony from Kathryn Bullen, and a sermon from Mike Turner about how Jesus brings hope for the broken.
The service was quickly followed by what could only be properly described as a banquet lunch. Mountains of delicious food, ruining waistlines and inducing food comas. As the thunderstorm rolled in Peter was interviewed by Shaun the minister here at Kurrajong Anglican and we prayed for the upcoming week.
We then met our billets and prepared ourselves for the youth service at 7pm. Where there was a repeat appearance of the skit (at the ministers request, it was just that good) a testimony from Steph Judd, and a brilliant sermon from Vaughn from Romans 5.
Kurrajong Mission is just warming up and already so much has taken place! Please pray for the scripture assemblies today, that the kids would see how Jesus brings friendship with God. And for the ladies dinner tonight that people would be inviting friends to come hear the strangely good message of Jesus and his death.
Keep you posted,
Kurrajong Mission team.
(Maybe we need a team name)
