Today has been a jam packed day for the Christchurch team!
First up was Caterpillars playgroup, where many little ones and their carers joined us for lots of games, toys, a great kids talk from Kylie and even a petting zoo!
At the same time, some of the team braved the cold rainy weather to do some door knocking in the local community – inviting people along to events and church this week and sharing the great news that St Saviours is back in its building.
This afternoon some team members joined with the seniors bible study for lunch where Cameron spoke, others visited the local PolyTech (TAFE equivalent) and a local school. Then we were able to meet with the St Saviours and St Nicholas staff team – Dave, Chris, David and Megan, to hear about their paths to ministry and life in NZ. It was a really encouraging afternoon.
Tonight Andy invited those at the Sushi Masterclass to consider Jesus’ resurrection. As he said, the proof is in the eating (Luke 24:36-48). This came after a fantastic demonstration of how to make Sushi from two women from the local Sushi Express.
Some of the team even got to try their own sushi making – including an inside out California roll.
Please give thanks …
